Plagiarism of Tarantino? Is that even possible? Do the laws of physics allow it?

Actually, that’s pretty annoying. Tarantino doesn’t have a “style” – he just homages unknown B-movie stuff in a post-modern ironic way and everyone thinks he’s some kind of original auteur. Admiring Tarantino’s style is like admiring the patterns on a patchwork quilt made from interesting looking rags. If anything Iron Sky is an authentic B-movie for CGI age and wears its lineage to those rags with pride.

(I don’t think Independence Day was much of an original concept either!)

Something disturbing about this trailer and I am not sure what it is. Plagiarism comes to mind, but what would the source be? Inglorious Basterds? Independence Day? Too bad the Governor of Alaska has bowed out of the Presidential race. But I will pay good dollars to see/download it when the time comes.

I was at university with this chap – he was in the year below me doing Fine Art at Sheffield. I still remember his degree show – a brilliantly edited argument with himself on two monitors in a totally unprepared studio space about how he degree show wasn’t finished and what was his mum going to say. I also vaguely remember a performance piece with a video projection of another argument with an unsympathetic cashier in the finance office or something. There was also a radio show at some point too I think? Anyway nice video indeed. On totally unrelated note uber DJ mr scruff was in the year above.

Its related to this I think; http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1975105/ which shows up on late night film4 every once in a while, apparently they are looking to make a full length film.

It kind of struggled to fill 15 minutes from what I remember but it was nicely done in part and had its moments.
